Do you have a Budget Billing Program?

Our Average Payment Program provides an equal monthly payment for all your routine charges from Vera including your electric, monthly water bill, annual excess water bill and any other fixed charges such as street lights.  Renters will need their landlord's approval.  Please call our office at (509) 924-3800 for information about how to qualify.  Our staff will need to determine what your average monthly payment amount will be.  Click on this APP Link to open the form to print out and fill in. You can bring to our office to sign up. 

Can I pay my bill by having it deducted from my checking or savings account automatically?

Yes!   EXPRESS PAYMENT PROGRAM - You can have your bill paid automatically from your checking account.  To participate in this program, please contact our office at (509) 924-3800, or you can sign up now by clicking on the link below to access the sign up form to print & fill out. Then, mail or bring this form in to our office along with a voided check for validation with your bank. Vera's mailing address is PO Box 630, Spokane Valley, WA  99037-0630. It only takes one billing cycle to get you started.

Can I pay my bill on this website?
Click here for a link to e-BILLING SERVICES or  at the top or bottom of this website and follow the easy directions to register your bank account number and pay your Vera bill directly from your checking or savings account.  If you provide your e-mail  address while registering,  we will contact you automatically when your bill is ready for review and payment.  You will need to access  e-BILLING SERVICES each month on this website to pay your bill this way.
Can I pay by Credit Card or Debit Card?

Yes!  There are two ways to pay by credit card;  1.)  Click here for  e-BILLING SERVICES and follow the easy instructions.  OR

2.)  Call 1-800-272-9829.  At the prompt, Press 3 (property tax and all other payments), then use Vera's jurisdiction code 5644.  To keep the costs down for all of our customers, there is a transaction fee that will be charged to you by the credit card processor.   

What are your business hours?
7:30am  to 5:00pm Monday through Friday.  We observe 9 national holidays a year and are closed on Christmas Eve, as well as the Friday after Thanksgiving.  Notices are posted on the front door and our electronic sign in front of the office to remind you of holiday closings.
How often will I receive my electrical bill?
We bill our customers monthly.  A minimum monthly base charge of $3.60 per month is billed for residential electrical service.  Currently Vera's rate is $0.0516 per kwh;   The time of month you will receive your bill is dependent upon the route in which you reside.  We try very hard to keep your billings at 30 day intervals, but this is not always possible.  Of course, commercial and business rates are also available.  Contact our office at (509) 924-3800 for specific details and charges.
How often will I receive my water billing?
The minimum monthly service charge for water is included on your monthly bill.  We will bill you for excess water usage once a year in October.  Standard residential water billing for a 3/4" meter is $10.97 per month.  Excess usage is charged on a declining rate schedule.  Contact our office for more specific charges.
Can I have my bill sent to a different address while I'm on vacation or gone for the winter?
Yes, you certainly can.  Contact our Front Office staff for assistance in setting up your temporary billing address.  Need to extend your dates while you're gone?  No problem.  Just call us, we'll take care of the rest.
If I run short one month, can I make an arrangement to pay after the past due date?
Certainly, but please call before your account becomes past due.  Contact our Credit Department for assistance with setting up a payment schedule.  By the way, bills are Due and Payable upon receipt.  They become delinquent and past due 30 days after the billing date.
Do you have a Night Drop or Drop Box for after hour payments?
We have a drive up payment box in front of the building.  We also have a Night Drop box at the front door.  Payments placed in the drive up payment box after 8:00am will not be posted to your account until the next business day.  Our office opens at 7:30am, so please drop your bill at the front counter for payment after 7:30am to ensure having your payment posted to your account that same work day.
Are you offering any Rebate or Conservation Programs?
Yes, you may be eligible for rebates on many programs.  Currently Vera has a high efficiency heat pump rebate program and a hot water tank rebate program.  Please contact Michael DeVleming at 924-3800.  Click   here for link!
